Charlotte's Web by E.B.White

A kind but shy pig called Wilbur makes friend with a spider called Charlotte who lives in the rafters of his sty.Wilbur finds out what the fate of most pigs is to be and Charlotte determines to help him and so she spins a web which reads "some pig"! This convinces the farmer and other locals that Wilbur is no ordinary pig and should be saved. A story of both hardship and freindship.
