Thesaurus
There is a wonderful book called Roget’s Thesaurus which can do the job of the cloud of that name who was one of Litrasaurus special friends. That clever man (Roget) managed to arrange all sorts of words into an order so that you may find lots of different words with similar meaning. It is not quite like a dictionary which is great for knowing what words mean, but if you want to write a story it can be used to help find words with a similar meaning (particularly if you don’t want to keep repeating yourself). In the back is an index and if, for example you wanted another word for “sleep” it would give you a number which takes you to a page with a specific section where there are lots of other words for “sleep” such as: nap, drowse, snooze or shut-eye. Very helpful!
